Торжественную церемонию, посвящённую началу учебного года, в гимназии имени академика Е.М.Примакова открыли министр иностранных дел России Сергей Лавров и губернатор Московской области Андрей Воробьёв. С приветственным словом к учащимся также обратился студент факультета политологии МГУ Кирилл Игнатенко, выпускник гимназии 2019 года: 

«It is a pleasure for me to greet everyone within the walls of this wonderful gymnasium! I want to congratulate everyone on the start of the school year! Believe me, the time I have spent here is the best time of my life. Here I have made many friends among tutors and students, with whom I still maintain warm relations and I know that each of them is ready to support me at any moment. At the gymnasium, I got basic knowledge so broad that I still feel confident at University. Now, standing here, I understand that I would like to be in the first grade again − to listen to teachers, do sports, find out which house I will be in, experience the excitement of passing exams, and participating in Olympiads. First graders, there are 11 thrilling years waiting for you and I advise you to cherish every upcoming day. I wish you great achievements and victories, and for the graduating classes − self-confidence and success in the exams!»

Гимназия имени Е.М.Примакова — инновационный образовательный центр, обучение в гимназии ведётся с двух до восемнадцати лет на английском и русском языках. Гимназия работает в тесном партнёрстве с Московским университетом.
